If you’re planning a wedding at The Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire and dreaming of relaxed, natural and timeless wedding photography, Lucy and Andrew’s day is the perfect inspiration.

Their wedding was a beautiful blend of romance, calm moments and joyful celebration — set within one of Oxfordshire’s most charming barn wedding venues.

Getting Married at The Tythe Barn, Oxfordshire

The Tythe Barn is a truly stunning wedding venue, offering everything couples could want for a countryside wedding day. From the peaceful courtyard ceremony space to the beautifully landscaped gardens and atmospheric barn, it’s a venue that photographs effortlessly in every season.

Lucy and Andrew chose to hold their ceremony in the courtyard, which was the perfect setting for an intimate and relaxed “I do”. Surrounded by rustic stone walls and greenery, it created a warm, welcoming atmosphere for their guests and allowed the day to flow naturally from one part of the venue to the next.

A Relaxed Ceremony & Wandering the Gardens

After the ceremony, we took a gentle wander through The Tythe Barn’s gardens, which are ideal for natural couple portraits. The clipped hedges, soft pathways and surrounding countryside offer so many beautiful backdrops without ever feeling forced or overly posed.

Lucy and Andrew were completely at ease together — exactly how I love couples to feel in front of the camera. There was no rushing, no awkward posing, just space for them to enjoy a quiet moment together while I documented their connection in an honest, relaxed way.

A Barn That Comes Alive in the Evening

As the day moved into the evening, The Tythe Barn truly came into its own. Once the lights were switched on, the barn took on a warm, romantic glow that felt both cosy and magical.

This is one of the reasons I love photographing weddings at The Tythe Barn — the transition from day to night is seamless, and the lighting creates the most dreamy atmosphere for evening celebrations.

Wedding Photography at The Tythe Barn

From a photography perspective, The Tythe Barn is a dream venue. It offers:

  • Beautiful natural light throughout the day
  • A variety of indoor and outdoor photo locations
  • Space to keep things relaxed and unrushed
  • Stunning backdrops in every season

Lucy and Andrew were an absolute joy to photograph, embracing the day fully and trusting me to capture it as it unfolded. Their wedding is a perfect example of how natural wedding photography allows couples to truly enjoy their day while still having a gallery full of meaningful, emotive images to look back on.
